Ski

With 92 ski lift facilities, the Verbier/4 Vallées ski area is the largest in Switzerland, and deserves its fame. Runs for all levels criss-cross the amazing surroundings with modern infrastructure and guaranteed snow.

Rising to 3,330 meters, the highlight of the resort of Verbier is the Mont-Fort (3,300m). Its unique 360° panorama of the Alps allows one to see from the Matterhorn to Mont Blanc.

The ski resort of Verbier is exceptional. In addition to its slopes, it offers many groomed secure ski routes as well as extensive off-trail (off-piste) trails. Mont Fort, Mont Gelé, Chassoure-Tortin, the Vallon d'Arbi and the Col des Mines de Verbier are unique to the world.

The 4 Vallées Region combines more than 412km of ski runs linking the resorts of Verbier, La Tzoumaz and Bruson, as well as Nendaz, Veysonnaz and Thyon.

Also, as Verbier is close to the French and Italian borders, you can spend a day skiing in France on the beautiful slopes of Chamonix, and admire the the famous Argentière Glacier, all within a 90-minute drive, or within an hour's drive, ski in Italy at Crevacol near the Val d'Aosta, and have lunch at a traditional Italian restaurant.

Sledding/Sledging

Discover the longest toboggan run (10km) in the French part of Switzerland, directly in the heart of Verbier! Whether you are a beginner or a bold enthusiast, the region's sled runs promise excitement and a lot of laughs!

Located on the north side of the mountain, the runs have great snow cover and a hair-raising height difference of 848 metres.

Venture down from the summit of Savoleyres (2’354m) to La Tzoumaz (1’506m).

For safety reasons, we recommend that you wear a helmet and that children are accompanied by an adult.

Winter Walks

Take with you a pair of good shoes to enjoy wonderful surroundings and sunny terraces to the full. You can start directly from Chalet Ker Praet, or drive to park at the many trail heads. 25 km of groomed and signposted paths await you! Enjoy the view on a beautiful stroll from Les Ruinettes to La Chaux, along your route you will meet a number of restaurants for a gourmet break. For history buffs, hike to the 12th century ruins of the ancient watchtower called Verbier Castle (Chateau de Verbier), or to the Chapel of St. Christopher, in a secluded mountain meadow with great views. Snowshoeing

28 km of groomed and signposted paths open up a region under thick snow cover. For more remote, untouched areas, hire a hiking guide, or a mountain guide for more extreme experiences. www.televerbier.ch

Cross-country skiing

Ski Touring

Verbier offers enthusiasts a great number of ski touring itineraries amidst its beautiful backcountry. Amongst the numerous options, the Rosablanche is probably the most popular summit. Moreover, you can also use the lift system to shorten your itineraries. www.televerbier.ch

Paragliding

The mountain view from the sky! If you want to realize your dream of flying, you'll find that Verbier is an excellent place to start. Our valley counts 7 grounds for take-off and 4 grounds for landing. Besides this wide selection of sites, our valley benefits from a micro climate allowing paragliding flights more than 300 days a year.

The Sports Centre offers an indoor swimming pool with jacuzzi, squash courts, sauna and hamman, and an ice rink for skating and ice karting, that can all keep the whole family entertained all day. Dog Sledding

Two world-renowned thermal hot spring spas are only a 30-minute drive from Chalet Ker Praet.

Les Bains de Lavey

The thermal hot springs at Lavey come from the hottest and deepest Swiss sources (up to 600m). The two outdoor pools and indoor pool welcome you all year round with water temperatures of 32 to 36 degrees C.
